Me too. I would be entitled to be jaded after all of that loss.  I could have shut down and tucked into a gin and tonic in my turtle shell and the world would have looked on and sympathized. So much loss.

I feel genuine wonder and awe near daily. I have access to a lot of pleasure. Not because of who I am, but because of who I CHOSE to be.
